Meet Me at the TechCrunch Disrupt (May 24-26th)
I am excited to announce that I will be appearing on a panel called “Getting It Built” at the upcoming TechCrunch Disrupt event in New York City. The subject matter should be something along the lines of a live Q&A, not dissimilar to the comment dialogs that my recent posts have evoked here and on CrunchGear.com. If you’ve found these posts interesting and you’re in the NYC area next week, I would look forward to meeting you at the event.

I have a question:
I paid for sets of 2-D designs from a designer for a sporting goods but now I need another designer to work on the technical package ready for production. Where do I find/get one to work on this? Any websites to contact a designer?

Hi Craig, while I can think of a couple of sites off the top of my head to locate freelancers for illustrator work or industrial design (coroflot.com, for example), I’m not familiar with the same sort of forum for mechanical engineering resources. I am certain they must exist. Generally speaking, it sounds like what you need done should be accomplished by an inexpensive contractor rather than a full-fledged firm, just to keep things economical at this stage. If you have found a website of the sort you’ve been seeking, please let us know.
